QuickBooks Get Connected 2026 Privacy Statement

This QuickBooks Get Connected Canada 2026 Privacy Statement ("Event Privacy Statement") sets out how Intuit Canada ULC and the Intuit group companies (collectively "Intuit," "we," "us," or "our") collect, use, and share your personal data when you register and attend QuickBooks Get Connected Canada 2026 and participate in event activities, such as polls, networking, and interviews (collectively, the "Event"). This Event Privacy Statement supplements the Intuit Global Privacy Statement, which provides more information on how Intuit collects and processes your personal data.

Personal Data:

By registering for the Event, you provide us with your full name, job title, company name, address, email address, telephone number, photograph, emergency contact information and any dietary/special requirements. We may collect additional information from you when you participate in activities during the Event, such as polls, networking, interviews, and virtual functionalities. This may include profile information and content you provide to the networking chat functionality available from the Event platform ("Chat"), your presentation (if you are a speaker), and photographs or recordings containing your image or voice (for example, if you are interviewed about the Event).

Purpose: We process your personal data to:

Register, facilitate, and manage your attendance at the Event;
Send you updates and details relating to the Event;
Create marketing content to promote and advertise the Event and any future similar events;
Perform follow up actions after the Event, such as distributing or sending swag, photographs, continuing education credits (CPE), and survey evaluations via post, email or other shipment methods;
Send you marketing-related messages in accordance with your preferences, including invitations to future Intuit events and/or information about Intuit products and services;
Handle any queries, complaints, or legal claims and ensure legal regulatory compliance.

Legal Basis:

We are required to have a legal basis to process your personal data. We process your personal data to perform our contract with you, including for registration and to provide the Event, where the processing is in our legitimate business interests, such as operating our businesses, and improving and developing our services, communicating with you, and personalizing your experience. In certain cases, we process your personal data where we have your consent to do so, for example marketing our offerings and services.

Recipients

We share your personal data with Intuit's trusted service providers like BW Events, Proof Experiences, and Swoogo, who provide the physical and virtual or web-enabled functionalities of the Event, including without limitation registration services, the Chat functionality, activations, and distribution of materials, swag, and continuing education credits (CPE) earned at the Event. If you use the Chat functionality to chat with other attendees and/or groups during the Event, those attendees may view your profile and any information or content you choose to share. We may also share your personal data with our employees, the Intuit group companies, and exhibitors and sponsors of the Event.

You'll be provided with an exhibitor badge for the Event. If you choose to allow exhibitors/sponsors to scan your exhibitor badge on the day of the Event, you acknowledge that Intuit will provide them with your personal data and you consent to them contacting you with information about their products and services. Intuit is not responsible for the processing activities of exhibitors/sponsors and you should contact them directly for questions about how they process your personal data and about how to exercise your privacy rights in relation to such processing.

Data Retention:

The personal data provided in the registration form, and any videos, photographs, and personal data collected during the Event, will be retained in accordance with Intuit’s policies and applicable law. Data Protection Rights Which May Apply To You:

You may access, correct, update or request deletion of your personal information.

You can object to processing of your personal information, ask us to restrict processing of your personal information or request portability of your personal information.
