Event Terms & Conditions

By registering for and attending the QuickBooks Get Connected Canada 2026 event and/or participating in event activities, such as polls, trivia and/or networking (collectively the “Event”), I hereby release and hold harmless Intuit Canada ULC (“Intuit” or “Event Host”), its affiliates, and each of their employees, officers, directors, vendors, agents, service providers, contractors, and successors from any and all alleged and/or actual liability, claims, actions, lawsuits, damages, or losses, of any kind (collectively “Claims”) which may arise out of, or result from my registration, attendance at, and/or involvement in the Event. I voluntarily waive all Claims against Intuit, its affiliates, and each of their employees, officers, directors, vendors, agents, service providers, and contractors, and successors relating to illness, injury, death, property damage, and/or other loss or damage.

Publicity Release:

I understand that Event Host or its authorized representatives may conduct interviews and may capture statements, photos and/or videos of me during the Event.

I hereby grant to Event Host and its authorized representatives the absolute right and permission to use my name, initials, likeness, profile or biographical information, company, organization or firm name, voice, statements made, content of any interview, image and/or photograph and any other indicia of persona (“Persona”), either alone or accompanied with other material, in any manner and in any media, throughout the world for trade, advertising, social and/or promotional purposes.

I understand and agree that I shall have no rights of review or approval, no claim to compensation, and no claim arising out of or resulting from the use, alteration, blurring, distortion or illusionary effect (whether intentional or otherwise) or use in any composite form of my Persona and agree to release and hold Event Host and its authorized representatives, including trusted service providers, harmless for any and all such use(s).

I agree that any statements made by me are true and accurately reflect my honest opinion of and experience in the Event and/or Intuit’s products, services and programs, and that I will promptly notify Intuit if my opinion changes. I understand and agree that Intuit is not required to use, and/or may (in its sole discretion) cease to use, any materials with my Persona (including without limitation any statement, photos, and/or videos of me.

Use of Information:

I understand that information provided in the Event registration form may be used by Event Host or shared with Intuit’s trusted service providers who provide the physical and virtual or web-enabled functionality of the Event experience to distribute or send any Event materials, swag, and/or continuing education development (CPD) credits earned at the Event via post, email or other shipment methods.

I agree that Event Host may use my email address to send Event updates, invitations to offers and promotions (e.g., drawings or giveaways), and survey evaluations. Event Host may also use my email address to send marketing-related messages and invitations to future Intuit events.

I acknowledge that Intuit will use and maintain my personal data according to the Intuit Global Privacy Statement and QuickBooks Get Connected Canada 2026 Privacy Statement in connection with the Event.

I understand I am responsible for updating my profile preference (e.g., name, company, job title), and that I can cancel my registration at any time, subject to the Event Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Furthermore, I agree to comply with the Event Host’s policy that attendee information made available to me before, during, or after the Event will not be used by me for any marketing purposes.

Attendance; Registration:

Intuit may, in its sole discretion:

• deny attendance or registration to any individual or entity for any reason;
• close the Event registration earlier than the posted deadline; and/or
• change the Event program day, time, and/or location

Health And Safety:

I acknowledge that there is an inherent risk of exposure to communicable diseases, including COVID-19, at any place where people gather, and I expressly assume all risks relating to the risk of contracting such communicable diseases in connection with the Event. I will comply at all times with all government health and safety regulations and guidelines applicable to the Event.

Cancellation/Transfer:

I agree that Intuit will not be liable for any losses or damages associated with cancellation of the Event, including but not limited to registration fees, where such cancellation is due to causes beyond Intuit’s reasonable control, including without limitation natural disaster; an act of terrorism; epidemic, pandemic, or associated governmental or other applicable restriction, rule, or order; riot, strike, or industrial dispute.

If cancellation of the Event occurs as a result of matters solely within the reasonable control of Intuit, as determined by Intuit, Intuit will offer a full refund of paid event registration including processing fees. Any such refund will be made via the original payment method used to the original paying party.

I understand that Intuit will not be responsible for any other charges I incur in connection with any cancellation, including without limitation charges incurred for airfare or accommodations.

If Intuit is forced to move the Event date or location for any reason, Intuit will transfer ticket payment and attendance to the new date and/or location selected by Intuit.

I understand that, except as expressly stated herein, or as otherwise required under applicable law, any and all amounts paid by, or on behalf of, me to Intuit or any of its affiliates in connection with the Event are nonrefundable.
